The Anglican Missions Service Committee (AMSC) is searching for a new treasurer. Our current treasurer would like to pass the torch. This is a volunteer position and involves sitting on the committee for four meetings each calendar year as well as overseeing the pre-arranged monthly transfer of funds from our bank account into the account of our field agent in order to send this to our two Anglican Church projects in Madagascar – a school and an orphanage. There are other transfers on occasion throughout the year and the keeping track of account activity with the use of SAGE. It is not a huge amount of work but it is really incredibly important work. The little lives at the other end of our money transfers depend on us to keep them going. If you feel called to step into this position, please phone me (Rev. Susan) at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Sault Ste Marie: 705-254-1692 or email: holytrinityssm@gmail.com. Thank you!
Before I go, this file has information on Madagascar and our projects there:
The AMSC has been working hard to secure the successful first trip to Madagascar of the new field agent (“missionary”), Pamala Stickney. We are very excited – and so are the folks in Madagascar – to be getting “boots on the ground” after a number of years without. If you can help support the children in Madagascar, that’d be awesome. You can mail a cheque to: The AMSC at PO Box 1072, Sault Ste Marie ON P6A 5N7 or you can go to: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/anglican-missions-service-committee/ Many thanks!
In the hope of Christ,
Susan
